Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit my website. As a therapy practice in Los Angeles, I am committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how data is handled.
1. Information I Collect
When you visit this site, I collect the following:
Voluntary Information: Name, email address, and phone number when you fill out my contact form.
Device Information: IP address, time zone, and how you interact with the site (collected automatically via Squarespace).
2. Why I Collect This Information
I collect this data to:
Respond to your inquiries and schedule initial consultations.
Optimize my website performance for the Los Angeles community.
Ensure the security of my digital practice.
3. How I Collect Information
Directly: Through form submissions you provide.
Indirectly: Via Cookies and Tracking Pixels. This site is hosted by Squarespace, which uses cookies to help the site run effectively and provide analytics.
4. What I Do With & How I Share Your Information
I do not sell your personal information. I only share your data with:
Squarespace: My hosting provider, to keep this site functional.
G-Suite/Professional Tools: To communicate with you securely.
Legal Necessity: Only if required by California or Federal law.
5. Data Storage & Retention
Website Inquiries: If a clinical relationship is not established, contact form data is deleted after 1 year.
Clinical Records: If you become a client, California law (BBS) requires me to retain your records for at least 7 years (or 7 years after a minor reaches 18). These records are kept in a separate, HIPAA-compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, not on Squarespace.
6. Squarespace Cookies
By using this site, you agree to our use of cookies. Functional cookies ensure the site is secure and usable. Analytics cookies help me see which blog posts (like my resources on The Body Keeps the Score) are most helpful to my readers. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
7. California Privacy Rights
Under the CCPA, you have the right to access the data I hold about you and request its deletion. Please note that my legal obligation to retain medical records under California law may supersede deletion requests for clinical data.
Important Disclaimer for Visitors
Please be aware that while this website is secure, the contact form is not an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant portal. Please limit information shared via this form to scheduling requests only. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, do not use this form; call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room.
